A Fun Weekend

Kate and I attempted to go on Joe's boat this past Friday, but once again an issue arised and we never made it out. We did however, enjoy free drinks at the pool. Went over to the Keeners, ate some great pulled pork (nice job Kristie), played some rounds of cornhole and reminisced while looking through several picture albums from college. Great to see the Keeners, Carmen, Tom and Garrett.

We do have some pictures but those won't be going up for a while, sorry kids! Taking a cue from Kirsten, here are a few random photos not related to this weekend.

Saturday, the White Americas and Garrett Logan took a road trip to Raleigh. We surprised Jeremy/Cassie with Logan, thankfully they didn't make us take him home. The Avett Brothers concert was a blast and they performed several of our favorite songs.

The ride home was a blast...Garrett asked Kate several times why he didn't get to meet her friend Tracy...aka..."The News." Tracy works for News 14 Carolina, Garrett finds her attractive. We stopped at good ole Biscuitville for lunch at the Elon exit. Fond memories!!

The Avett Brothers

The Avett Brothers

Kate and I are heading to Cary, NC to see The Avett Brothers in concert this Saturday. We are pretty excited, this is our second show and Jeremy/Cassie are going with us (hoping to convert them into fans).

The next blog will have a video of Swept Away live.

Goodbye Ric Flair

Kate, Tom, Joe and I attended WWE's Smackdown last night. The highlight of the evening, besides the guy who spelled Edge's name wrong (Egde), was seeing Ric Flair. He came out and spoke for about 10 minutes and thanked all of us and the wrestling industry for 34 years of his life. It was pretty emotional although Tom still thought it was fake.

Woooo!

Put-In-Bay Bike Trip

On Friday, we loaded up the bikes and drove up to Put-In-Bay for a few hours of riding. After a late start, we amused ourselves with a couple games of Roadside Poker...basically a game of spotting various animals on your side of the car...the girls beat us pretty bad. Somehow you don't get points for the various random animals in Ohio (some form of goat?, Elk, Llamas).

Anyways, we arrived and spent most of the day traveling around, stopping at a monument (an important battle was fought here during the Battle of 1812) and also having some wine at a local winery. Kate should never bike after a few glasses of wine. Here are some pictures!

Getting the bikes ready...

Here is the little town you can eat/drink at...

The monument, thankfully there was an elevator...it's the 3rd highest National Park monument in the nation.

Kate and I...she really likes this bottle

After a few glasses of wine it's difficult to remove your bike from the bike rack

Kate figured Kirsten would enjoy this...you guys are weird.

Indians Game + Rain Delay = Fun Times in Cleveland

Kate and I were up in Medina for a few games and went to check out the Indians game against the San Francisco Giants. Kate was really excited to see her favorite player, Omar Vizquel. About an hour before we left for the game it began to downpour (It's raining sideways). We made the trip out to Cleveland anyways and found out there was a delay. So, rocking our best rain gear we walked over to a bar and had a few drinks.

Here are a few pictures....
