Less than 2 weeks! (hopefully)...

Well, we are putting some final touches on the nursery and getting ready for our little peanut to arrive. Our cats are sensing that the tides have turned and sniffing at all of the baby stuff with curiosity and a little disgust. Cat baby Jack is going to be incredibly jealous of new baby. I have treated him like a baby since we got him and that will come back to bite me!

(Poor Jack, so used to all of the attention...)

I had a doctor appointment on Friday, May 22nd and my midwife told me that things were moving along right on course, but to be prepared at any time (can't they just tell you when everything will happen?). Though he says different, the planner in Jeff is prepared for an exact June 6th delivery. I am getting the feeling that it may be a couple days early. Guess we will see! 

Please pray that all goes smooth for us and that baby is healthy and happy when he or she arrives! I have another visit with the midwife on Friday, and they want to do another ultrasound to check the projected size of baby (are they worried this baby is going to be monstrous, or what?!)

38 Weeks (May 23rd, 2009)

Baby White likes:

Taking up as much room as possible (why "drop" when you could just thrust your head further down but keep feet in the ribs too?)

Lemon cake, lemon starburst, and arriving soon (thanks, E)... lemon archway cookies!

All the attention mom gets at Target these days ("When are you due?" "Twins?" "Oh, you're totally having a boy/girl because...")

Working

Stairs

Heartburn

Baby White makes first official appearance on blog...

Last Thursday I got to see Baby White!!! One of the midwives wanted to confirm position of baby and size, so they had me get an ultrasound. I didn't know I was getting it done, so Jeff wasn't with me, but it was so fun sharing the photos with him afterwards! 

Now I will share with you... 

As you can see poor Baby White's face is all smuuuuushed up in there from the looks of it! (And YES, our baby is sticking out his/her tongue at you!) I think baby is running out of room. Let me rephrase that, I KNOW baby is running out of room! But baby is in the right position and size looked right where it needed to be - estimated at about 6 lbs 3 oz as of last Thursday. We will have everyone make weight guesses (for the BABY, not for me!) along with their baby pool guesses - now you have something to go off of!

And, here is me at 36 Weeks...
