Getting closer...

Well, well, well... getting closer every day! It’s amazing how quick the time has flown by. Yet, I hear the last couple weeks feel S-L-O-W. I have now officially entered week 35, and have slowed down significantly. I am now parking in our “Expectant Mothers” spot at work every day… though I haven’t resorted to using the elevator in my building. Yet.

I've been experiencing some swelling in my ankles (not fun, or cute!) and some leg cramping. Someone actually told me today that I should eat a spoonful of mustard when I get leg cramps… I have no idea why, but hey, I‘ll try it!

We are so excited that we have quite a few friends having babies this year… Congrats to the Straujas, the Zarates, the Wyatts and the Alexanders! I am a little worried about what our kids will get into together in the years to come, but I’m sure we will have a blast!

Charlotte Baby Shower - 4/4/09

On April 4th, four of my nearest and dearest threw me an amazing baby shower! Alyssa, Adrienne, Hillary and Erin did such a wonderful job. Yummy brunch at Alyssa's house, my favorite cupcakes, mimosas (not for me though) and lots of fabulous friends & family!

Both my mom and Jeff's mom were able to be there, which made it great fun (it was also nice to have everyone together for a weekend one last time before Baby White's arrival!)

I also had to guess everyone's baby photos! It was really cute... 

I felt so blessed and almost starting crying before I opened my gifts! Everyone was so generous, and I didn't feel worthy of all the attention. Baby White got lots of useful gifts, and I can’t wait to introduce our sweet little one to all the awesome people that surround and support us with love! Thank you to all my Charlotte gals and those who came in for elsewhere, too!

Oh, and did I mention my favorite cupcakes? They deserve their own pic. YUM...

I just wanted to say that the baby currently enjoys Metallica Lullaby...yes, an entire CD of Metallica songs stripped down, not to loud and quite soothing. Thanks to Grey & Hailey Kinlaw for the CD. Most hilarious gift we've received to date!
