Grand Tour 2012 - Part 2

Part 2 of our Grand Tour: My parent's house in Ohio!

With Papa & Nana!
We were having fun hiking to find a letterbox. (If you haven't heard of lettering boxing, check it out HERE or HERE.)

Me and Ave at the Cleveland Zoo

Visiting with Grandma June

My great-grandma's name carved out of wood. We named Lucy after her, and it caught me off guard when I saw this at my grandpa's house. I remember loving this as a child and still love it today. :)
We had the honor of being at my friend Emily's wedding while we were in Ohio.
Such a special day for an amazing and dear friend.

Another one!

Avery's first s'mores experience

Marshmallows are good...

S'mores are AMAZING!

So many fun memories made this summer on our big trip. The traveling portions really couldn't have gone smoother either. Avery may be the best traveler ever. Way more tolerant in a car than her father or I! Looking forward to our next big trip... DISNEY WORLD! We can hardly contain ourselves. Mickey, here we come!

Summer Sampler

Well, well, well, it's hard to believe that summer is over. It's been another busy one full of family, friends and fun.

We got some unexpected family time up in Ohio when my grandfather passed away. It was a very sad time for all, though it was so nice to have everyone together, too. Though I didn't take many photos on this trip, here are a few documenting Parker and Avery's hugs with Nana, their fun fishing experience (Avery caught her first fish) and Parker and Avery even got Papa to run through the sprinkler with them! :)

Over the 4th of July weekend we spent time down at Grandpa and Beegee's new house house in St. James. Avery gained a ton of confidence with the ocean and sand at the beach. She was little miss social bee and talked to everyone on the beach. She also loved using the new boogie board (or really just pulling it around for the most part - cute, regardless!)

(A little love for Lucy)

Avery has spent the last 3 years with Miss Donna and her crew at daycare. She loves the girls there and  especially loves Donna and her daughter Taylor. They have been family to us, really. Avery started school last week, so we had to say some "good-byes." Glad I nabbed these photos earlier this summer:

What I've been up to

So, blogging has fallen to the wayside for about the last month or so... and I will have some fun posts soon chock-full of pictures (really!). We have been out-of-town in some capacity for the last 6 weeks in a row, and we are exhausted! I also started a new job in June, and have been slowly adjusting to the new responsibilities, new lingo, and new challenges. It's been such a good change for me and for our family, though, and I am really enjoying switching into a marketing role.

I encourage you to check out the website I am working for: www.SignUpGenius.com
Through the site you can create online sign up sheets for many different events and activities. Let me know if you need help creating a sign up sheet, and I'll be glad to assist. From Potluck Parties to Non-Profit events... from Parent-Teacher Conferences to Team Snack Schedules, let SignUpGenius make coordinating easier. :)

Click on the below links to read a couple articles I have written for the site lately. It's been fun to do something new that can hopefully really help people too! It is also nice to have a variety of topics to work with and I enjoy meeting new interesting people along the way.

Thanks for checking them out...
Hope you enjoy!
