That's how we "roll"

Lately we have been practicing lots of "tummy time" with Avery. Well, Thursday night after her bath she was playing on her tummy, and little did I know but she had a trick up her sleeve. One minute she was on her belly, and the next she shifted and rolled over onto her back!

Before...
And After...
I put her back on her tummy and she proceeded to roll to the other side too. Then, she made sure she did it once more that night after Daddy got home. 3 1/2 months old, and getting very strong!

So that's how we roll! :)

Baby Z will be here soon!

As many of you know, my sister Erin and her hubby Martin are expecting a little one on October 31st! We threw Erin a Baby Shower in Medina, OH over Labor Day weekend to celebrate "Baby Z."

Avery is patiently awaiting the arrival of her new little cousin...

Martin gets some baby time with Avery...

Erin practices feeding a baby... Avery was glad to participate.
(Erin was not as willing to practice diaper-changing,
but she will be doing plenty of that in a few short weeks!)

Goo goo Gaa gaa in the mirror...

Here's Erin and Baby Z!!!

Had to feel baby kick!

Mom gives Erin her baby bonnet - so cute!

6 week countdown to Baby Z!
We can't wait to meet you (and find out if we are running out to buy butterflies or dinosaurs!)

Without further delay...

We have been super busy over the last month! Sorry, we have been neglecting the blog - I can't believe it's been almost a month since I posted! Just a couple new pictures of Avery...

Avery got to meet her Aunt Jeanne and her cousins Brooks, Ford and Mary Ellison! Avery loved when Mary Ellison read her the book "5 Little Monkeys."

Avery learned how to hold and play with her fun rattle... she also stares at it
cross-eyed sometimes.

She also learned a new sleeping position. Looks pretty uncomfortable to me!

Avery and "lamby" tried out the new highchair from Uncle Doug and Joy - we LOVE this gift!

In other news, Avery discovered her hands and stares at them in amazement. She also has laughed out loud a couple times, which just makes us all start giggling, and makes my heart melt. She started "school" at Taylor's Playhouse last week, and seems to be enjoying it. She is all smiles with Miss Donna and her daughter Taylor who's 9 years old. Taylor told me she loved Avery yesterday when I went to pick her up - it was pretty darn cute! Though it's hard to leave our little girl there, we feel confident she's in good hands! And after quite a few tears on my part, I've been adjusting ok too... :)
