Photo Shoot!

Brian came to our house several weeks back and captured these sweet little moments. Avery was 6 weeks old!

New Jersey trip!
Jeff, Avery and I just returned from a 10 day trip up to New Jersey. Avery was such a trooper on the long ride, which we divided into two days to make it a little easier on all of us (and to try to keep her on some sort of schedule). Over the course of the week we got lots of visiting in and Avery met so many new people! She LOVES her new butterfly mat from mom's boss Karen, and spent lots of time kicking, punching, smiling and cooing on it while we were up there. Avery was very well behaved for the White Family Reunion, too. Family showered her with lots of sweet gifts and even more attention! She is one lucky little girl!
Can you believe little miss Avery is 2 months old?! It's amazing how time flies... y'all weren't kidding, were you? She has been sleeping through the night most nights - sometimes up to 8 hours! This gives all of us some much needed rest, especially with us all in the same room while we traveled. Avs slept in her crib from the very beginning so we were afraid that having her in the room with us for over a week would be disruptive to her sleep as well as ours. Turns out it wasn't bad at all!

Is she used to the papparazi yet, or what???
We had Avery's 2 month visit with the doctor yesterday. She is 23 inches long and in the 75th percentile. She is 9 lbs, 15.5 oz which is in the 25th percentile. She is long and thin like her dad, and her numbers are all over the map. But doc said she is healthy and looks great! Avery got two shots, and handled them quite well. Mom did ok during the shots too... for the record!
My mother comes in to town today to help for the week while we dig deeper into childcare options! Wish us luck... and keep us in your prayers. Our options are limited and time is running out.
